The Gasthof Stahlecker Hof is located at the entrance to the biosphere area Swabian Alb, between Lichtenstein-Holzelfingen and St. Johann-Ohnastetten. About ½ km south of the settlement Lichtenstein-Göllesberg.
From Stuttgart or Esslingen you can reach us by car in less than an hour.
From Tübingen in about 30 minutes and from Sigmaringen you can reach us in about 45 minutes.
Open:
Wednesday to Sunday from 11 am (hot meals throughout).
Monday and Tuesday closed (open on public holidays)

Instead of the car you can of course also reach us by bus.
From Reutlingen take the RAB regional bus 7644 in the direction of Würtingen to Ohnastetten. Then follow the signs “Stahlecker Hof” for about 20 minutes on foot. Further bus connections can be found under www.naldo.de
For cyclists we recommend the journey through the quiet Zellertal, past the Schützenhaus in the direction of Göllesberg. Both are signposted in Lichtenstein-Unterhausen.
Hikers have the choice of walking on footpaths through the Zellertal or following the blue triangle of the Schwäbischer Albverein in the direction of Stahleck. However, this is a little more strenuous.
Take a detour
The area around the Stahlecker Hof offers you plenty of opportunities for excursions (before or after a visit to us of course).
In addition to numerous viewpoints along the edge of the Alb, excursions to the nearby Lichtenstein Castle and the Echaz spring, Bad Urach, the Urach waterfall or the less known but more beautiful “Gütersteiner Waterfalls” are of course also possible.
Metzingen and the Outlet-City can be reached from us just as easily as the nearby Lautertal with the state stud farm in Marbach. Or you can walk – just around the corner – on the traces of the past to the ruins of Greifenstein and Stahleck.
In winter, the “Winter Sports Arena Holzelfingen” attracts skiers and snowboarders to the only connected ski area in the Swabian Alb.
